An indulgent and luxurious open-faced sandwich featuring warm, lemony crab salad on perfectly golden, buttered brioche toast. Simple ingredients combine for an elegant and delicious treat.
Ingredients:
- 2 thick slices brioche bread
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 lemon (juice for crab mixture and finishing)
- 1 tbsp fresh dill
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 caviar
- 1 fresh chives
Ingredients are subject to availability at local stores. Unavailable items will be automatically substituted at best-effort.
Directions
- Cut 2 thick slices of brioche bread.
- Liberally butter both sides of each slice.
- Gently place the bread in a pan over medium heat and toast until both sides are golden brown.
- While the bread toasts, place the crab in a small pot over low heat. Add the juice of 1 lemon, some fresh dill, 1 minced garlic clove, and 2 tbsp of butter.
- Gently warm the mixture, stirring until the butter is fully melted and everything is combined and heated through.
- Place the warm crab mixture on top of the toasted brioche slices. Season with salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes to taste. Add a little more lemon juice, then top with caviar and fresh chives. Enjoy immediately.
