Ingredients:
- 1 lb large prawns (peeled and deveined)
- 4 tbsp butter (melted)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley
- 1 tbsp lemon (juice)
- 1/2 tso smoked paparika (optional)
- salt
- pepper
- 1 wedge lemon (for serving)
Ingredients are subject to availability at local stores. Unavailable items will be automatically substituted at best-effort.
Directions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the MELTED BUTTER, MINCED GARLIC, FRESH PARSLEY, LEMON JUICE, SMOKED PAPRIKA, salt, and black pepper. Stir until evenly blended.
- Add the PRAWNS and toss until every piece is thoroughly coated in the garlic butter marinade.
- Cover the bowl and allow the prawns to marinate for 15–20 minutes. Avoid marinating them for too long because the lemon juice can begin to change their texture.
- Preheat an outdoor grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates or cooking surface to help prevent sticking.
- Thread the marinated prawns onto skewers, if desired, leaving a small amount of space between each prawn so they cook evenly.
- Place the prawns on the hot grill and cook for 2–3 minutes on the first side.
- Flip the prawns and cook for another 2–3 minutes, or until they are pink, opaque, lightly charred, and cooked through.
- While grilling, brush the prawns with the remaining GARLIC BUTTER MIXTURE for additional flavor and moisture. Do not reuse marinade that has touched raw prawns unless it has been thoroughly cooked.
- Transfer the grilled prawns to a serving platter. Drizzle with additional melted garlic butter, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately with LEMON WEDGES.
