This Southern Banana Pudding layers buttery Chessmen cookies and fresh bananas with an extra-creamy vanilla pudding made with cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk, and Cool Whip. Finished with another layer of bananas and those signature butter cookies, it’s an easy no-bake Southern dessert made for sharing.

Directions

  1. Arrange a single layer of CHESSMEN BUTTER COOKIES across the bottom of a deep baking dish.
  2. Add a layer of sliced or chopped BANANAS over the cookies, then set the dish aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the VANILLA PUDDING MIX and WHOLE MILK. Mix well until the pudding begins to thicken.
  4. In another large bowl, combine the softened CREAM CHEESE and SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  5. Fold or mix the COOL WHIP into the cream cheese mixture.
  6. Add the prepared VANILLA PUDDING mixture and mix until everything is thoroughly combined and creamy.
  7. Pour the finished pudding mixture evenly over the cookie and banana layers in the baking dish.
  8. Smooth the pudding into an even layer.
  9. Add another layer of BANANAS over the pudding.
  10. Finish the top with another layer of CHESSMEN BUTTER COOKIES.
  11. Chill until cold and set, then scoop and serve.
