Unbelievably tender and flavorful chicken thighs with minimal effort. This one-pan recipe creates a sweet, savory, and aromatic glaze from honey, soy, and turmeric that makes this dish a guaranteed weeknight winner.
Ingredients:
- 4-6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1/4 cup honey (to taste)
- 2-3 cloves garlic (chopped)
- 1 tbsp ground tumeric
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup water
Ingredients are subject to availability at local stores. Unavailable items will be automatically substituted at best-effort.
Directions
- Place the chicken thighs (skin-on or boneless) in a single layer in a large pan or skillet.
- Drizzle honey generously over the chicken thighs.
- Scatter chopped garlic around the pan.
- Sprinkle the turmeric and pinch of salt evenly over the chicken and into the pan.
- Pour the soy sauce and water into the pan, around (not directly on top of) the chicken.
- Cover the pan with a lid and cook over medium heat for 25-30 minutes (for bone-in thighs) or 15-20 minutes (for boneless), or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened into a glaze.
- For extra gloss and caramelization, remove the lid for the last 5-10 minutes of cooking. Spoon the thickened sauce over the chicken as it finishes cooking.
- Serve immediately, spooning the remaining pan sauce over the chicken. Pairs perfectly with steamed rice or roasted vegetables to soak up the delicious glaze.
