A budget-friendly, dump-and-go crockpot classic! Tender chicken cooks right in a rich, cheesy sauce, then gets shredded and tossed with bowtie pasta for the ultimate creamy comfort food with minimal effort.
Ingredients:
- 1 package boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1 bag Italian mix shredded cheese
- 1 jar alfredo sauce
- 1 jar three cheese pasta sauce
- 1 box bowtie noodles
Ingredients are subject to availability at local stores. Unavailable items will be automatically substituted at best-effort.
Directions
- To your crockpot, add the entire jar of alfredo sauce and the entire jar of three cheese pasta sauce. Stir to combine.
- Pat the boneless, skinless chicken thighs dry with a paper towel, then place them into the sauce, turning to coat evenly.
- Cover and cook on HIGH for 4 hours or on LOW for 8 hours, until the chicken is fall-apart tender.
- Use a hand blender (or two forks) to shred the chicken directly in the crockpot until it’s finely shredded and incorporated into the sauce.
- While the chicken is cooking, prepare the bowtie noodles (farfalle) according to package directions in boiling water. Drain well.
- Add the drained, cooked pasta to the crockpot with the shredded chicken and sauce.
- Add the bag of Italian mix shredded cheese and stir everything together until the cheese is melted and the pasta is evenly coated.
- If desired, sprinkle any leftover cheese on top. Let the dish sit with the lid off for 5-10 minutes to thicken slightly before serving.
