These crispy rice paper dumplings are packed with a savory chicken filling and pan-fried until perfectly golden and crunchy. Paired with a simple soy chili dipping sauce, they’re a high-protein meal or appetizer that delivers takeout-style flavor with surprisingly simple ingredients.

Directions

  1. Finely chop the green onion.
  2. In a bowl, combine the ground chicken, green onion, oyster sauce, soy sauce, minced garlic, cornstarch, white pepper, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and coat with spray cooking oil. Cook the filling until the chicken is fully cooked. Set aside to cool.
  4. Dip one rice paper sheet into water just until softened. Avoid soaking too long.
  5. Place the softened rice paper on a clean surface and spoon some of the cooled filling into the center. Fold into a sealed square. Repeat with the remaining filling and rice paper.
  6. Return the dumplings to the same non-stick pan over medium-low heat and cook each side until the rice paper becomes crispy and lightly golden brown.
  7. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, chili oil, sesame oil, sesame seeds, and water.
  8. Serve the crispy dumplings immediately with the dipping sauce.
