A delicious, high-protein twist on the classic breakfast sandwich! Crispy protein waffles replace the traditional bun, layered with melted cheese, savory turkey bacon, and perfectly fried eggs. It’s a satisfying, macro-friendly morning meal that tastes just like a McGriddle.

Directions

  1. Toast the 2 frozen protein waffles according to package instructions until crisp and golden. Set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook 2 slices turkey bacon until crispy, about 3–4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, fry 2 eggs to your preference (sunny-side up or over-easy works great for that McGriddle-style richness). Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Assemble the sandwich: place one toasted waffle on the bottom, layer with 1 slice shredded cheese (or 1 string cheese, pulled apart), the crispy turkey bacon, the fried eggs, and top with the second waffle.
  5. Press down gently to let the cheese melt from the heat of the eggs.
  6. Serve warm with sugar-free maple syrup on the side for dipping or drizzling, if desired. Enjoy!
