A rich, decadent, and surprisingly healthy chocolate cake that’s completely guilt-free! Made with simple, wholesome ingredients, this cake is protein-packed, naturally sweetened, and has a luscious mascarpone icing. Perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth without the sugar crash.

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a cake tin (approximately 8 or 9 inches) or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Make the cake batter: In a large mixing bowl, combine all the cake ingredients: 7 large eggs, ½ cup cream powder (or adjust to your preferred consistency), 1 cup Greek yogurt, 2 teaspoons baking powder, and ½ cup cacao powder. Whisk or beat until the batter is completely smooth and well combined.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared cake tin and spread it evenly.
  4. Bake for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. The baking time may vary slightly depending on your oven.
  5. Let the cake cool in the tin for about 15 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before icing.
  6. Make the icing: While the cake cools, prepare the icing. In a medium bowl, combine ½ cup mascarpone cheese, ½ cup cream cheese (softened), 2 tablespoons cacao powder, 2 tablespoons honey (adjust to taste), and a sprinkle of salt. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  7. Once the cake is completely cool, spread the icing generously over the top.
  8. Slice, serve, and enjoy the healthiest chocolate cake you’ll ever have!
