Rich, creamy, and better than any restaurant version! This homemade fettuccine Alfredo comes together in minutes with just a handful of simple ingredients. Silky smooth sauce coats every strand of pasta for the ultimate comfort food dinner.

Directions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook egg fettuccine according to package directions until al dente. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water before draining, just in case you need it to loosen the sauce.
  2. In a large skillet, melt salted butter over medium-low heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Pour in heavy cream, stirring frequently until warmed through.
  4. Reduce heat to low. Gradually add freshly grated Parmesan cheese, stirring constantly until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Toss the cooked fettuccine into the sauce until fully coated. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
