Name: Classic Chili
Ingredients: 1 tbsp olive oil; 1 large onion (diced); 2-3 jalapeno peppers (diced (use bell peppers for milder heat)); 6 cloves garlic; 2 lbs lean ground beef; 3 tbsp chili powder (or more to taste); 1 tbsp ground cumin; 1 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for extra spice); salt (to taste); black pepper (to taste); 2 tbsp tomato paste; 1 1/2 cups beef broth; 1 15 oz can crushed tomatoes (with juices); 2 15 oz cans red kidney beans (drained and rinsed); 1 tbsp hot sauce (optional, to taste); 1 tbsp red pepper flakes (optional, to taste, for extra spice)
