Smothered Turkey Wings

These smothered turkey wings are baked until tender, seasoned with bold Cajun-inspired spices, and finished in a rich homemade gravy with onions, bell peppers, butter, and chicken stock.
Ingredients:
- 4 lbs turkey wings
- 2 tbsp canola oil
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 2 tsp dried thyme
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 sweet onion
- 1 cup bell peppers
- 1/2 cup chicken stock
- 1 tbsp flour
- 4 tbsp butter

Directions
Season the Turkey Wings
- Add the turkey wings to a large mixing bowl.
- Coat with canola oil.
- Season with smoked paprika, dried thyme, salt, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.
- Add the sweet onion and bell peppers, then toss until everything is well coated.
Make the Gravy Base
- Whisk together the chicken stock and flour until smooth.
- Place the seasoned turkey wings, onions, and peppers into a baking dish.
- Pour the gravy base into the dish.
- Add pieces of butter over the turkey wings.
Bake and Smother
- Cover and bake at 400°F for 1 hour.
- Uncover and bake for another 40 minutes, spooning the gravy over the wings as they cook.
- Serve hot with the gravy spooned over the top.
