Pan-Fried Cod with Lemon Butter Sauce
Crispy on the outside, tender inside, and finished with a bold lemon butter sauce — this dish is simple, fast, and flavor-packed.
Ingredients:
- 4 cod fillets, patted dry
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil, for frying
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 lemon, juiced (plus zest if desired)
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions
- Season cod fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. When hot, place cod in the pan and cook for about 3–4 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through. Transfer to a plate.
- Reduce heat to low. Add butter to the pan and let it melt. Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute, then add lemon juice and optional zest.
- Spoon the lemon butter sauce over the cod. Top with chopped parsley and serve hot.
