Directions
- Make the Hibiscus Tea Layer: Steep 1 hibiscus tea bag in 1 cup hot water for 5-7 minutes. Remove tea bag and stir in 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup. Let cool completely.
- Make the Grapefruit Base: In a glass or shaker, combine 1½ cups coconut water, 1 cup freshly squeezed grapefruit juice, juice of ½ lime, a pinch of salt, and 1–2 tablespoons maple syrup. Stir until salt and sweetener are fully dissolved.
- Assemble: Fill a glass with ice. Pour the grapefruit-coconut mixture into the glass.
- Slowly pour ⅓ cup of the cooled hibiscus tea over the back of a spoon onto the top to create a stunning layered effect—the deep ruby-red hibiscus will float on top of the pale grapefruit layer.
- Garnish with a grapefruit wheel and a lime wedge.
- Stir before drinking to combine all the flavors, or sip through the layers. Enjoy!
