A cozy, fall-inspired electrolyte drink that tastes just like apple cider! Sweet apple, warm cinnamon, and zesty lime come together with hydrating coconut water for a refreshing yet comforting beverage that’s perfect for autumn workouts or crisp afternoon sipping.
Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 cups coconut water
- 1 medium red apple (cubed, skin on for color and fiber)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 lime (juiced, or lemon)
- 1/4 - 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- ice (for serving)
- cinnamon stick (for garnish)
- apple (sliced thin for garnish)
Ingredients are subject to availability at local stores. Unavailable items will be automatically substituted at best-effort.
Directions
- Add all ingredients to a blender: 2½ cups coconut water (can substitute filtered water or decaf green tea, but coconut water is best for natural electrolytes), 1 medium red apple (cubed, skin on for color and fiber), 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, juice of ½ lime or lemon, ¼–½ teaspoon salt, and 2 tablespoons maple syrup.
- Blend on high speed for 20-30 seconds until completely smooth and the mixture is a **rich, opaque warm cinnamon-brown** color with visible specks of cinnamon throughout.
- For a smoother drink, strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove any apple pulp (optional).
- Pour over two glasses filled with ice.
- Garnish with a cinnamon stick and thin apple slices fanning out on the rim.
- Enjoy immediately—it’s like apple pie in a glass!
