Instructions

  • Marinate the chicken: In a bowl, combine chicken pieces with buttermilk. Let sit for at least 20 minutes (or overnight for extra tenderness).
  • Prep the coating: In another bowl, mix cornstarch, garlic powder, and salt.
  • Coat and fry: Dredge chicken pieces in the dry mix and fry in hot oil (350°F) until golden and crispy—about 3–4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
  • Make the sauce: In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey (if using).
