This viral recipe tastes just like warm cookie dough—but it’s secretly a wholesome, protein-packed breakfast! Soft, sweet, and topped with melty chocolate, it’s the easiest single-serving baked oatmeal you’ll ever make.
Ingredients
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1/2 banana
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1 handful chocolate chips (for topping)
Ingredients are subject to availability at local stores. Unavailable items will be automatically substituted at best-effort.
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly coat an oven-safe mug, ramekin, or small baking dish with a little oil or non-stick spray.
- In a blender, combine all ingredients except the chocolate chips: ½ cup oats, ½ banana, 1 egg, ¼ cup milk of choice, a pinch of sea salt, and ¼ tsp baking soda.
- Blend on high until the mixture is completely smooth and combined. Scrape down the sides if needed.
- Pour the batter into your prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the top generously with chocolate chips.
- Bake for 20 minutes, or until the edges are set and the top is lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with a pinch of flakey sea salt for that perfect sweet-salty finish.
- Let cool for a few minutes before digging in. Enjoy warm directly from the dish!
