Total Time: About 35–40 Minutes

These easy Southern Pecan Pralines turn just three ingredients — pecans, sweetened condensed milk, and browned salted butter — into rich, buttery homemade candy. Scoop them onto a baking sheet, chill until set, and enjoy them plain or finish them with coconut, chocolate chips, or freeze-dried strawberries.

Directions

  1. Add the 1 STICK SALTED BUTTER to a saucepan over medium-low heat.
  2. Cook the butter for about 5 MINUTES, stirring as needed, until it becomes golden and lightly browned.
  3. Pour in the 14 OUNCES SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK and bring the mixture to a boil.
  4. Stir in the 1 CUP PECANS.
  5. Reduce to a simmer and continue stirring until the pecans are evenly coated and the mixture comes together.
  6. Remove the saucepan from the heat and carefully drain off any excess grease.
  7. Scoop individual portions of the praline mixture onto a baking sheet.
  8. Transfer the baking sheet to the refrigerator and chill for 25 MINUTES, or until the pralines are set.
  9. Enjoy the pralines plain, or finish them with COCONUT FLAKES, CHOCOLATE CHIPS, or FREEZE-DRIED STRAWBERRIES if desired.
