
Pan Seared Sea Scallops w/ White Wine Garlic Butter
Golden and tender on the outside, buttery and juicy within — these pan-seared sea scallops are simple yet elegant. The secret? A luxurious white wine garlic butter sauce that brings restaurant-level flavor to your kitchen. It’s quick, it’s easy, and it’s wildly delicious.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb dry sea scallops, patted dry
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 0.3 cup dry white wine (like Sauvignon Blanc)
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 0.5 lemon (juiced)
👨🍳 Instructions
- Pat scallops completely dry and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until hot and shimmering.
- Place scallops in the pan and sear undisturbed for about 2 minutes until a golden crust forms.
- Flip and add 1 tbsp butter. Cook 1–2 more minutes, basting with butter. Remove scallops and set aside.
- Lower heat to medium and add remaining butter and garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Deglaze with white wine and simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly reduced.
- Stir in lemon juice and chopped parsley. Spoon over scallops and serve immediately!
