Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the chicken: Pat dry 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts (halved lengthwise and pounded to even thickness). Season both sides generously with salt, 1 tbsp smoked paprika, 1 tbsp garlic powder, 1 tsp black pepper, and 1 tsp onion powder.
- Heat 2 tbsp clarified butter or oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Remove from pan, let rest, then slice and set aside.
- Make the Alfredo sauce: In a separate pan over medium-low heat, melt 2 tbsp butter. Add 2 tbsp finely minced fresh garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
- Pour in 1 cup heavy whipping cream. Bring to a gentle boil, then gradually whisk in ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and 1 tsp black pepper. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens. Set aside.
- Make the garlic butter compound: In a small bowl, combine ½ cup softened unsalted butter, 1 tbsp finely minced fresh garlic, 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley, and a pinch of salt. Mix until well combined.
- Assemble the garlic bread: Slice 1 loaf of Italian bread in half lengthwise. Spread 2-3 tablespoons of the garlic butter compound evenly over the cut sides of both halves.
- Place the bread halves on a baking sheet. Spread a generous layer of the prepared Alfredo sauce over the garlic butter. Sprinkle with 1 cup mozzarella cheese. Arrange the sliced chicken evenly over the cheese. Drizzle with a little more Alfredo sauce and sprinkle with extra chopped parsley.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the bread is crispy and the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown.
- Serve warm, with any leftover Alfredo sauce on the side for dipping. Enjoy!
