Carne con Chipotle

A spicy, smoky, and savory beef dish inspired by traditional Mexican flavors. Juicy beef chuck is seasoned and seared, then simmered in a vibrant tomato-chipotle salsa — perfect for tacos, rice, or on its own.

Instructions

  1. Prep the beef: Season beef with all dry spices. Mix thoroughly to coat all pieces evenly.
  2. Sear: Heat a pan over medium-high heat. Fry the beef for 5–8 minutes until browned and fragrant. Set aside.
  3. Make the salsa: Boil tomatoes, onion, garlic, and both chilies for about 7 minutes. Blend with chipotle peppers, salt, pepper, and cilantro until smooth.
  4. Simmer: Return beef to pan and pour the blended salsa over it. Simmer on low heat for 20–30 minutes until the beef is tender and infused with flavor.
  5. Serve: Enjoy with warm tortillas, over rice, or with a side of beans.
