Tender, savory pot roast meets creamy, buttery mashed potatoes for the ultimate comfort food. This classic duo delivers rich flavor and cozy nostalgia — a meal that feels like a warm hug every time.

- Season & Sear
Pat the chuck roast dry and season all over with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder—or your go-to seasoning blend.
Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the roast for 4 minutes per side until it forms a golden crust. - Transfer to Crockpot
Place the seared roast directly into your slow cooker. - Build the Gravy
In the same skillet, melt butter. Add sliced onions and sauté 2–3 minutes until softened.
Stir in garlic and cook for another minute.Add in:½ can tomato sauce
Ranch mix
Au jus mix - Stir until combined and bubbling, then slowly whisk in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Let it simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Pour It On
Pour the rich gravy over the roast in your crockpot.
Top with thyme, rosemary, and bay leaves. - Low & Slow
Cover and cook:
LOW for 8 hours
or HIGH for 4–5 hours The roast should shred effortlessly with a fork. - Serve Like a Pro
