Ingredients:
Chicken
- 2 lbs chicken wings
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp jerk seasoning
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt (to taste)
- 1/2 tsp pepper (to taste)
Sweet Honey Harissa Glaze
- 2 tbsp harissa paste
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp soy sauce or coconut aminos
- 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter (optional for richness)
Directions
-
Prep the Wings:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (or air fryer to 380°F). Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels to help them crisp up. -
Season the Wings:
In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, jerk seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated. -
Cook the Wings:
-
Oven Method: Place wings on a wire rack set over a baking sheet. Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
-
Air Fryer Method: Cook in batches at 380°F for 20–25 minutes, shaking halfway through.
-
Grill Method: Grill over medium-high heat for 20–25 minutes, turning occasionally.
-
-
Make the Glaze:
While the wings cook, combine harissa paste, honey, soy sauce, lime juice, and butter (if using) in a small saucepan. Simmer over medium-low heat for 2–3 minutes, stirring until well combined and slightly thickened. Remove from heat. -
Glaze the Wings:
Once wings are cooked, toss them in the warm honey harissa sauce until fully coated. You can return them to the oven or air fryer for 5 more minutes if you want the glaze to set. -
Serve:
Garnish with chopped cilantro, lime wedges, or sesame seeds if desired. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or just as they are.
