There’s nothing quite like an old-school diner patty melt. This version takes it up a notch with caramelized onions, garlicky beef, and perfectly melted cheese sandwiched between crispy golden bread.
Ingredients:
Directions
- Chop the onions and caramelize them slowly in a pan. Season with Miner’s Mix Steak and Veggie seasoning.
- Form your ground beef into a rectangle-shaped patty and season generously with Miner’s Mix XXX-Garlic seasoning.
- Heat a pan with a bit of oil and fry the patty on both sides until cooked through and browned.
- Place a slice of Swiss cheese on a slice of bread, then add the cooked patty on top.
- Spread Thousand Island dressing over the patty, then top with the caramelized onions and another slice of cheese.
- Top with the second piece of bread and cook the sandwich in the pan on both sides until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted.
