This creamy Mexican chipotle sauce blends smoky chipotle peppers with Mexican crema, mayonnaise, cilantro, and warm spices. It makes a bold, slightly spicy topping or dipping sauce for tacos, sandwiches, fries, grilled meats, and vegetables.

Directions

  1. Add the entire can of CHIPOTLE PEPPERS IN ADOBO, including the sauce, to a blender or food processor.
  2. Add the MEXICAN CREMA, MAYONNAISE, CAYENNE PEPPER, GARLIC POWDER, and GROUND CUMIN.
  3. Add the fresh CILANTRO and a small pinch of salt.
  4. Blend until the sauce is thick, creamy, and mostly smooth. Stop once or twice to scrape down the sides of the blender if needed.
  5. Taste the sauce and add additional salt or cayenne pepper as desired.
  6. For a thinner, more pourable sauce, blend in 1 tablespoon of water or additional Mexican crema at a time until it reaches the desired consistency.
  7. Transfer to a covered container and refrigerate until ready to serve. Stir before using.
