Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Finely dice green bell pepper and onion.
- In a large bowl, combine lean ground beef, eggs, diced bell pepper, diced onion, milk, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Use your hands to mix everything together until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Line a loaf pan with parchment paper. Transfer the meat mixture into the pan and press it down evenly.
- Bake for 50-55 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and carefully drain any excess grease. Transfer the meatloaf to an oven-safe rack or baking sheet.
- Make the sauce: In a small bowl, combine ketchup, barbecue sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. If you like it sweeter, add brown sugar to taste.
- Spread the sauce generously over the top and sides of the meatloaf.
- Return the meatloaf to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the glaze is sticky and caramelized.
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!
