Smoky, spicy, and a little sweet — these Gochujang Chicken Skewers are bold in flavor and irresistibly juicy thanks to the air fryer. Coated in a savory glaze with Korean chili paste, a hit of garlic, and a kiss of honey, this recipe is fast, fun, and absolutely addictive.

Dak-kkochi (Korean Sweet and Spicy Chicken Skewers

    • Ingredients
      entree — Grilled Gochujang Chicken Skewers — SMART CHICKEN

• 1½ lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into chunks
• 3 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
• 2 tbsp soy sauce
• 1 tbsp honey
• 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
• 1 tbsp rice vinegar
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• ½ tsp black pepper
• Sesame seeds + scallions for garnish
• Wooden skewers (soaked if needed)

Instructions

  • Make the marinade: Whisk together gochujang, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, rice vinegar, garlic, and black pepper until smooth.
  • Marinate chicken: Toss the chicken in the sauce and let marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight in the fridge.
  • Skewer it up: Thread marinated chicken onto skewers, packing them tightly for juiciness.
  • Air fry: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F. Spray the basket and cook skewers for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and cooked through.
  • Finish and serve: Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced scallions. Serve hot with rice, kimchi, or lettuce wraps!
