Ingredients:
To Coat Chicken Thighs
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 lemon (zested)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 lemon (zested)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1.2 tsp lemon pepper seasoning
Directions
- Prep the Chicken:
In a large bowl, mix together olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, lemon zest, lemon juice, and baking powder. - Coat the Chicken:
Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and toss until they’re evenly coated in the seasoning mixture. Let marinate for 10–15 minutes (optional but recommended). - Air Fry the Chicken:
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F. Place the chicken thighs skin side down in the air fryer basket. Cook for 30–35 minutes, flipping halfway through, until skin is crispy and internal temp reaches 165°F. - Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in lemon zest, lemon juice, and lemon pepper seasoning. Cook for another minute, then remove from heat. - Serve:
Plate the chicken and drizzle generously with garlic butter sauce. Garnish with extra lemon zest or fresh parsley if desired. Serve with a side of roasted veggies or a low-carb mash.
