The ultimate cheese lover’s dream! This giant mozzarella stick features a crispy golden crust that gives way to an epic, stretchy cheese pull. Perfect for sharing (or not!).

Directions

  1. Cut a large block of mozzarella into your desired giant stick shape.
  2. Set up three stations: one with flour, one with egg wash, and one with panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Coat the mozzarella stick in flour, shaking off any excess.
  4. Dip the floured mozzarella into the egg wash, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  5. Roll the mozzarella in panko until completely covered, pressing gently to adhere.
  6. Heat oil in a deep pot or skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Carefully fry the giant mozzarella stick for 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  9. While the mozzarella stick fries, make the spicy marinara: heat olive oil in a saucepan and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  10. Add crushed tomatoes, red pepper flakes, dried oregano, and salt to taste. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  11. Serve the giant mozzarella stick immediately with the spicy marinara sauce for dipping and enjoy the epic cheese pull!
