Catfish Sandwich
Ingredients:
- 1 lb Catfish
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tsp lemon pepper
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 Louisiana Unseasoned Catfish Breading
- 1/2 Louisiana Seasoned Catfish Breading
- 1 pot frying oil
- 1 brioche bread
Slaw
- 1 bag multi-colored slaw
- 1/2 cup green onion (chopped)
- 1/2 cup white onion (blended)
- 1/2 cup green bell pepper (chopped)
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- 1 1/2 tsp Lawry's seasoned salt
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 1/2 cup mayo
Ingredients are subject to availability at local stores. Unavailable items will be automatically substituted at best-effort.
Directions
- Make your Coleslaw first, and refrigerate.
- Wash Catfish until water runs clear, and pat dry.
- Cut Catfish long ways.
- Season catfish to your liking.
- Mix half of your season Catfish breading seasoning, and Unseasoned Breading to catfish in a flat pan. Toss fish in breading until completely covered.
- Heat up your oil until hot. I just put my oil on medium.
- Fry fish golden brown.
- Once fish is done frying place fish on a cooking rack to cool.
- Toast your bun. I like Broche, and plate up your sandwich with your slaw.
