This easy Summer Strawberry Cobbler comes together with simple pantry ingredients and fresh strawberries for a classic dessert with a golden buttery crust. Perfect served warm on its own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Directions

  1. Place the butter into an 8×8-inch baking dish. Place the dish in the oven and preheat to 350°F until the butter has melted.
  2. Meanwhile, rub the granulated sugar and lemon zest together until fragrant.
  3. Whisk in the flour, kosher salt, and baking powder.
  4. Add the whole milk and vanilla extract, whisking until smooth.
  5. Carefully remove the hot baking dish from the oven and pour the batter directly over the melted butter. Do not stir.
  6. Scatter the quartered strawberries evenly over the batter.
  7. Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until the cobbler is golden brown and set in the center.
  8. Allow to cool for about 15 minutes before serving.
