Directions

  1. Cook the Steak:
    Season the steak with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear steak for 3–4 minutes per side. Add butter in the last minute and baste. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  2. Boil the Pasta:
    Cook the fettuccine in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside (reserve ¼ cup pasta water if needed).
  3. Make the Sauce:
    In a saucepan, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Add cream, bring to a gentle simmer, then stir in Parmesan. Season with salt, pepper, and optional nutmeg or chili flakes. If it’s too thick, add a splash of pasta water.
  4. Combine & Serve:
    Toss pasta in the sauce until well coated. Plate the pasta, top with sliced steak, and drizzle more sauce over it. Garnish with chopped chives or parsley.
