🍳 Instructions

  1. Brown the Beef:
    In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the beef (6–8 min). Drain excess fat and set aside.

  2. Sauté the Mushrooms & Onions:
    In the same pan, heat olive oil if needed. Add onions and mushrooms. Cook until softened and golden (5–7 min). Add garlic and cook 1 more minute.

  3. Build the Flavor Base:
    Stir in flour, tomato paste, Worcestershire, soy sauce, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toast for 1–2 minutes.

  4. Make the Gravy:
    Slowly whisk in beef broth. Stir constantly. Bring to a simmer, then return beef to the pan. Simmer for 10–12 min until thick.

  5. Optional Richness:
    Stir in heavy cream or sour cream for a creamy finish.

  6. Serve:
    Spoon over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles. Garnish with chopped parsley or chives.
