This nourishing healing broth is adapted from the renowned Medical Medium protocols—loaded with minerals, antioxidants, and plant medicine to help restore balance and boost immunity from the inside out.

Instructions

  1. Start by prepping all your ingredients. Chop the carrots (or sweet potato), celery, onions, and tomatoes (if using). Mince the garlic and finely chop the parsley. Leave the ginger whole or slice it into coins for easy removal later.
  2. In a large pot, combine all ingredients: chopped veggies, garlic, ginger, parsley, and 8 cups of water. If you’re using chili peppers or red pepper flakes, add those now too for a healing kick.
  3. Bring the pot to a boil over high heat. Once it reaches a rolling boil, reduce the heat to low and let the broth simmer gently, uncovered, for 45–60 minutes.
  4. As it simmers, the vegetables will soften and infuse the water with nutrients and flavor. Stir occasionally and breathe in the healing aroma.
  5. Once done, strain the broth into a separate pot or large bowl. You can drink it warm as-is, use it in recipes, or freeze for later. Optionally, mash some of the veggies into the broth for a thicker texture and added fiber.
  6. Store in glass jars or containers in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Freeze extras for future healing days.
