Ingredients:
- 2 large apples (honeycrisp or granny smith)
- 1 cup cornflakes (crushed)
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp brown sugar (optional for extra sweeness)
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 tbsp honey or caramel (for drizzling)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice apples into bite-sized wedges and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- In one bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, and a pinch of salt.
- In another bowl, mix the crushed cornflakes, cinnamon, and brown sugar (if using).
- Dip each apple slice into the egg wash, then roll in the cornflake mixture to coat evenly.
- Place coated apple bites on the baking sheet and bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
- Drizzle with honey or caramel, if you’re feeling fancy. Serve warm!
