Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Spray a 13×10-inch jelly roll pan with non-stick spray and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, combine all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixer bowl, beat softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Gradually mix in the flour mixture until just combined.
  5. Stir in most of the semi-sweet chocolate morsels and chopped nuts (if using). Reserve the remaining chocolate chips for topping.
  6. Press the dough evenly into the prepared pan. Sprinkle the reserved chocolate chips over the top.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into bars. Enjoy!
