The ultimate chocolate chip banana bread—incredibly moist, perfectly sweet, and packed with gooey chocolate in every bite. This easy recipe uses simple ingredients and bakes up into a loaf that will be your new go-to. Forget any other recipe—this is all you’ll ever need!
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups banana (ripe and mashed (3-4 bananas))
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar (packed)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup 2% Greek yogurt (sour cream also works)
- 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour (or 1-to-1 gluten-free baking flour)
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup mini chocolate chips (+ a handful more for sprinkling on top)

Directions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a 9×5 loaf pan and line it with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour (or gluten-free baking flour), baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until a paste-like consistency forms. This may take vigorous whisking for a minute or two. (Use a whisk or an electric mixer with the paddle attachment).
- Add the mashed bananas to the butter-sugar mixture, followed by the eggs, Greek yogurt (or sour cream), and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in mini chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly. Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top if desired.
- Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the bread cool completely in the pan before removing. Store at room temperature in an airtight container. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
