The ultimate chocolate chip banana bread—incredibly moist, perfectly sweet, and packed with gooey chocolate in every bite. This easy recipe uses simple ingredients and bakes up into a loaf that will be your new go-to. Forget any other recipe—this is all you’ll ever need!

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a 9×5 loaf pan and line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour (or gluten-free baking flour), baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until a paste-like consistency forms. This may take vigorous whisking for a minute or two. (Use a whisk or an electric mixer with the paddle attachment).
  4. Add the mashed bananas to the butter-sugar mixture, followed by the eggs, Greek yogurt (or sour cream), and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  5. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Fold in mini chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly. Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top if desired.
  8. Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Let the bread cool completely in the pan before removing. Store at room temperature in an airtight container. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
