Moral Code

April 10, 2024

There’s a moral code, all humans are connected to. This is evident though the fact that we are born with a conscience: an innate sense of what is right and wrong. So what happens when a person continually ignores the voice of his or her conscience? They are in danger of “searing” their conscience. To be seared means to make callous or unfeeling. It begins by justifying immoral behavior by coming up with excuses. We all fall into this pattern from time to time, of course, but when the human conscience gets repeatedly and deliberately violated, it inevitably stops working. Which is a dangerous thing.

Maintaining a clear conscience is work. The beauty of this life is, if you fall down today, pick yourself back up and fight again tomorrow.
