This crispy, golden fried chicken is marinated in a tangy-spicy blend of buttermilk, hot sauce, and pickle juice, then dredged in a seasoned flour mix and fried to perfection. It’s juicy, flavorful, and restaurant-worthy every time.
Ingredients:
Wet Brine
Seasoning
Flour Mixture
Note: YES IT WILL HAVE PICKLE TASTE. Use only ½ Cup and substitute buttermilk for rest if you don’t like taste of Dill Pickles
Directions
- Place your chicken pieces in a large bowl.
- Add pickle juice, hot sauce, and buttermilk to cover the chicken.
- Season the marinade with salt, celery salt, black pepper, white pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- Mix well and marinate for at least 4 hours or overnight for maximum flavor.
- In a separate bowl, combine your flour mixture: flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and the same seasoning blend used in the marinade.
- Remove chicken from the marinade and shake off excess liquid. Dredge in the flour mixture until fully coated.
- Let the coated chicken rest until the breading becomes slightly pasty — this helps create a crispier crust.
- Heat oil to 350°F. Carefully add the chicken one piece at a time.
- Fry for 5–7 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Transfer to a wire rack to drain and stay crispy. Enjoy!
