Ice Cream French Toast Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 Cups ice cream (any flavor you like u2013 vanilla is classic, but cookies & cream, strawberry, or caramel work too)
- 4 thick slices brioche bread (or challah / Texas toast)
- Butter (for frying)
- powdered sugar (optional topping)
- syrup (optional topping)
- fresh fruit (optional topping)
- whipped cream (optional topping)
- extra ice cream (optional topping)

- Melt the Ice Cream
- Scoop ice cream into a bowl and let it fully melt. You should have a smooth, custard-like liquid.
- Dip the Bread
- Heat a skillet or nonstick pan over medium heat and add a little butter.
- Dip each slice of brioche into the melted ice cream, coating both sides well but not soaking it too long (so it doesn’t fall apart).
- Cook the French Toast
- Place dipped bread slices onto the hot skillet.
- Cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and slightly crisp.
- Serve
- Plate immediately and add your favorite toppings—powdered sugar, syrup, berries, or even a scoop of ice cream on top.
