Grandmas Hummus Recipe

Creamy, dreamy, and totally homemade. This hummus is the real deal—smooth as silk, perfectly nutty from tahini, and lifted with lemony brightness. It comes together fast and tastes like it came straight from your favorite Mediterranean café.
Ingredients:
- 1 can garbanzo beans, rinsed
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic (optional)
- ⅓ cup tahini
- 1–2 ice cubes
- Cold water, 1 tbsp at a time if too thick
Directions

In a food processor, blend the garbanzo beans, tahini, lemon juice, salt, and garlic (if using) until smooth.

Add in ice cubes while blending for an extra creamy texture.

If the hummus is too thick, add cold water one tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.

Taste and adjust with more salt or lemon juice as needed. Serve with pita, veggies, or use as a spread.
