Ingredients:
- 1 Ib chicken thighs
- 1 onion sliced
- 1 can mushrooms (drained)
- 1 cube bouillon
- 1 cup water
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp soy sauce (optional but great)
- Salt + pepper (as needed)
- 1 tbsp oil or butter
Instructions
1. Caramelize the onions Heat oil in a skillet. Add sliced onions and cook 8–10 minutes until golden and soft. Push to the side of the pan.
2. Brown the chicken Season chicken thighs with salt, pepper, and flour. Add to the pan and cook 4–5 minutes per side until browned.
3. Add mushrooms Add canned mushrooms and cook 1–2 minutes.
4. Build the “Marsala-style” sauce Add to the skillet: 1 cup water + bouillon cube Garlic powder Italian seasoning Worcestershire or soy sauce Stir and simmer 6–8 minutes until thickened.
5. Combine & finish Mix the onions back into the sauce. Simmer 2–3 more minutes until everything melds.
