Burrata Caprese Sandwich
Ingredients:
Tomato Confit
- 1 Pint Cherry Tomato
- 3 to 4 Garlic Cloves
- 3 Fresh springs of thyme
- Sprinkle of dried oregano
- 1/2 Cup EVOO
- Salt and pepper (Pinch)
Sandwich Assembly
- 1 Fresh Baguette
- Tomato Confit (See above)
- 1 Burrata (I used 1 ball you can use 1/2 if you donu2019t want it too cheesy )
- 2 to 3 Slices Prosciutto
- Handful of arugula
- Pesto
- Black Pepper
- Fresh Cracked Black Pepper
- Flaky Sea Salt
Instructions:
- Toast baguette with olive oil until golden but still soft inside.
- Add pesto, and a layer tomato confit generously on bottom half.
- Add prosciutto slices like ribbons.
- Tear open the burrata and nestle it in the center.
- Top with arugula.
- Sprinkle black pepper and flaky salt.
- Close the sandwich gently, slice in half, and serve warm or at room temp.
