Best Ever Spicy Masala Fish

An incredibly flavorful and aromatic Spicy Masala Fish! The fillets are marinated in a vibrant blend of fresh chilies, garlic, and toasted spices, then pan-fried to perfection. It’s a quick and easy recipe that delivers a serious flavor punch.
Ingredients:
- 5 fish filets (tilapia or basa preferred)
- 1 tbsp red chilies (chopped)
- 1 tbsp garlic (chopped)
- 2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp chili
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander seeds
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1/2 tsp salt (to taste)
Directions
- In a bowl, combine the chopped red chillies, chopped garlic, cumin seeds, chilli, garam masala, chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander seeds, lemon juice, oil, and salt. Mix to form a thick paste.
- Pat the fish fillets dry and coat them evenly on both sides with the spice paste. Let them marinate for at least 15-20 minutes at room temperature.
- Heat a tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Place the marinated fish fillets in the hot skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the fish is cooked through, flakes easily with a fork, and the spice marinade is fragrant and slightly darkened.
- Serve immediately with lemon wedges and your favorite sides.
