Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp fermented black bean sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (slurry)
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1-inch ginger, grated
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 2 green onions, chopped

- Cooked rice, to serve

Instructions
- In a bowl, combine sliced beef with 1 tbsp soy sauce and 1 tsp sesame oil. Let marinate for 10 minutes while you prep the vegetables.
- Heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Sear the beef in batches until browned but not fully cooked through. Set aside.
- Add more oil if needed, then stir-fry garlic, ginger, and onions for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Add bell peppers and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Stir in black bean sauce and oyster sauce. Return the beef to the pan and toss to coat.
- Mix the cornstarch slurry and pour it into the pan. Stir until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Add chopped green onions and stir-fry everything together for 1 more minute.
- Serve hot over steamed rice and enjoy!
