Pizza toast is one of those easy snacks that comes together in minutes but always hits the spot. Crispy bread, warm pizza sauce, melty mozzarella, and your favorite toppings make it perfect for an after school snack, quick lunch, or even an easy bite when you don’t feel like cooking.
The best part? You can customize each piece with whatever you already have in the fridge. It’s simple, cheesy, crispy, and kid-friendly!
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Place thick-cut sourdough or Italian bread on a baking sheet. Lightly brush each slice with olive oil and season with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
- Bake for 4–5 minutes, just until the bread begins to toast. Remove from the oven.
- Spread each slice with a thin layer of pizza sauce, then top with shredded mozzarella, Parmesan, and turkey pepperoni or your favorite pizza toppings.
- Return to the oven and bake for 6–8 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- For extra golden, bubbly cheese, broil for 1–2 minutes, watching closely.
- Finish with fresh basil, crushed red pepper, Parmesan, or a drizzle of hot honey. Slice and serve warm.
