Strawberry Tres Leches

Bake the cake:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Following the instructions for the boxed cake mix and add vanilla extract to the batter, baking in a 9×13-inch pan.
  2. Let the cake cool for 15 minutes.

Poke and soak:

  1. Poke holes all over the cake with a fork or skewer.
  2. Whisk together evaporated milk, condensed milk, and strawberry milk until smooth. Slowly pour the milk mixture over the cake, letting it soak in evenly.

Chill:

  1. Cover the cake and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Make the whipped cream:

  1. Beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Spread the mixture evenly over the chilled cake.

Finish with strawberries:

  1. Layer the sliced strawberries over the cake. You can remove the stems and slice the strawberries in half or slices into a few pieces per strawberry and layer them over the cake.
  2. Chill the cake in the fridge until you’re ready to serve.
