These Salt and Pepper Shrimp are crispy, buttery, and loaded with bold flavor. Tossed in a homemade Creole spice mix, fried until golden, and finished with shallots, jalapeños, and garlic—this dish brings serious Southern heat.

Directions

  1. Devein the shrimp and cut off the front of the head, if attached.
  2. In a bowl, mix together cornstarch and Creole seasoning.
  3. Coat the shrimp in the Cajun flip n fry batter.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet and fry the shrimp until crispy. Set aside.
  5. In a small bowl, combine salt, chicken bouillon, pepper, and sugar. Set aside.
  6. Add butter to the pan and sauté shallots and jalapeños until fragrant.
  7. Add garlic and the fried shrimp to the pan.
  8. Season to taste with the salt and pepper mix, toss to coat, and serve hot.
