Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top for crispy wings.
  2. Pat chicken wings dry thoroughly with paper towels to remove excess moisture—this step is key for crispiness.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the wings with vegetable oil until evenly coated.
  4. Combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika (if using) in a small bowl. Sprinkle the seasoning mix evenly over the wings and toss again to coat fully.
  5. Arrange wings in a single layer on the wire rack, leaving some space between each.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until skin is golden brown and crispy, and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Remove from oven, garnish with chopped green onions and sliced chili if you like a little heat.
  8. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce or enjoy as is!

Tips from Alden B

  • For extra crispy wings, let them rest uncovered in the fridge for an hour before baking to dry out the skin.
  • Try using Alden’s Southern Made Creole Seasoning for a flavorful twist.
  • Adjust seasoning amounts based on your spice tolerance—add more pepper or chili for bold heat.
  • Air fryer users: Cook at 400°F for 20-25 minutes shaking halfway for equally crisp results.

These wings are your new go-to for game day, weeknight dinners, or whenever cravings strike. Don’t forget to tag @flychefaldenb with your creations!
