Quick Spicy Honey Pickles & Creamy Mizeria
These are two bold and refreshing ways to celebrate cucumbers! One’s sweet, spicy, and tangy. The other? Creamy, cool, and straight from Polish tradition. Together? A crispy, juicy, flavor-packed duo that’s low-effort and BIG on taste.
🔥 Quick Spicy Honey Pickles
- In a small saucepan, combine vinegar, water, honey, chili flakes, garlic, and salt. Heat until just simmering, then remove from heat.
- Place cucumbers (and jalapeños if using) in a clean jar.
- Pour hot brine over cucumbers. Let cool slightly, then cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- They’ll get even better after a few hours. Snack-ready and spicy-sweet!
🥒 Creamy Mizeria (Polish Cucumber Salad)
- Place sliced cucumbers in a bowl and sprinkle with salt. Let sit 10–15 minutes to draw out excess water.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together sour cream, lemon juice, sugar (if using), dill, and pepper.
- Drain cucumbers, pat dry if needed, and fold them into the dressing.
- Serve chilled as a refreshing, creamy side dish!
