A lot of women seem to think that being a man is like being a woman, just without all the bits they do not like. They do not consider that men are expected to be breadwinners, do manual labor like carrying heavy things or fixing stuff, be independent, do dangerous and hard jobs, bear all the responsibility of courting women, planning dates, and risking rejection, and are generally looked at with less empathy by society.

People underestimate the amount of pressure men are under. As women, we have spaces to talk about this and often room to rebel against the standards. Men are often not given the same understanding.
